Have a dog you love? Wondering if they’re truly in danger or just sick, and how to make them feel better? Here’s the 411. If you think your dog is too sick to be taken care of at home, it’s time to see a Studio City Veterinarian. Your vet can help assess the situation and prescribe a course of action, whether the problem is an accident, injury or illness.
Sometimes it’s not clear what’s wrong with your animal, which is when advice from L.A. vets can help. Your doctor can help determine if an injury, accident or illness is at play, and the right course of treatment. In emergency situations, we can help your animal at our hospital, while in less serious circumstances; you can treat them at home.
As a loving pet parent, it’s tempting to rush your animal off to the emergency vet right away when they feel under the weather, but that’s usually not necessary. Watch your animal for signs that something serious is wrong (discussed below), but if not, you’ll just want to offer them some TLC. This includes:
If you notice unusual behavior or symptoms in your pets, it might be time to bring them to an animal hospital. This includes vomiting, incessant drooling, panting, dizziness, acting “drunk,” excessive urination or diarrhea, and other uncharacteristic behavior. If you see this, it’s time to bring your pet to a veterinary expert.
